Beacon Cottage Farm Touring Park
- Posted on in Accommodation
We are situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coast and the South West Coastal footpath passes our door affording access to some of the finest cliff and coastal scenery in Cornwall and the stunning remains of Wheal Coates tin mine. The touring park is part of a traditional working Cornish family farm set in beautiful countryside, a few hundred yards from the sea. A haven for walkers, conservationists, photographers and bird watchers. The farm is a mixed beef and arable farm of approximately 400 acres with a home bred herd of beef cows and calves.
At Beacon Cottage Farm you are only 10 minutes walk from Chapel Porth beach with its spectacular unspoiled sandy cove offering excellent bathing and surfing, caves to explore and delightful shallow rockpools for little children to play in. The small picturesque village of St Agnes is just a short drive away (1.5 miles) or you can walk there along a scenic footpath that runs through fields and by the foot of St Agnes Beacon.
St Agnes is an ideal centre for touring Cornwall with the beautiful Cathedral City of Truro, out main shopping centre, just 10 miles away, and the Eden project, Maritime Museum and the Tate Gallery within easy reach. Our family has worked on the farm for many generations and we have welcomed visitors here since 1927, we look forward to welcoming you to Beacon Cottage Farm and to this very special part of Cornwall.
Every season has something different to offer – in spring and summer the walls and hedges are a mass of wild flowers while in autumn and winter months the gorse and heather form a carpet of colour on the hillside. In St Agnes you are well catered for with excellent shops and restaurants. For the energetic person there are many leisure activities nearby including surfing, bathing, pony trekking, fishing, gliding, sailing, golf and tennis or you can just relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful area.
